What's Next for 2026? A Look Into The Future
2026 is going to be a time of massive growth and scale for Partners. As evidenced by all the new programs and initiatives in our 2026 Service Guide, we’re laying the foundation and the infrastructure for multiple different types of Partners to exist. Are you a Partner that is a master networker? The new Dealer program is for you! Are you a Partner who is looking to bring on help to scale your sales team? We created the BF Mentorship program to help subsidize your growth, as well as provide classes and workshops to refine and mold your new hires to become selling machines. All these new pieces we’ve added to the “BF Engine” is going to supercharge each individual Partners’ strengths.
Along with these programs, BF is also going to equip Partners with more tools than ever before. What good are new programs and products if there are nothing to sell? We’ve spent a lot of time in 2025 researching and experimenting with new technology, putting our heads together to come up with new ways to empower every Partner. We’re leaning more and more heavily on data, specifically providing Partners with it to help drive business decisions. All in all we have some pretty exciting things to look forward to as soon as Q1 of 2026:
BF Partner Portal
We’re very close to the completion of the first module of the next iteration of our “BF Database” project. The thought behind this move is the realization of the limitations of Appsmith and what it can achieve as a free tool. Having used Appsmith internally for a few years now, we’ve come to the point where we are outgrowing its capabilities, in terms of both performance and scalability. Moving forward, BF will be publishing an interface that will eventually replace Appsmith, giving Partners the tools, now with the performance and accessibility, necessary to run their day-to-day.
Rate Guide Viewer
The Rate Guide has been such a staple to all Partners for so many years. Many Partners know it like the back of your hand, and moreso, probably know it better than your own spouses. All kidding aside, it is something that BF and Partners has outgrown a couple of years ago. The upkeep alone is a massive timesink in itself. Yes, we have made innovations to it in the past, like introducing a color system, but the truth of it is that it is simply not agile enough.
This led us to deconstruct the Rate Guide to its core, and rebuild it in a way where the upkeep is now scalable, where Net Rates can be generated in seconds, and most importantly for the Partner, the ease of navigation between all the Industry Accounts will be an absolute breeze. This will be the very first feature that will be made available to you on the new BF Partner Portal, and here is a sneak preview of what it will look like:


Expected release of this tool will be early Q1 of 2026. When the product is near launch, we will be sending everyone an invitation for access.
Q2 2026 and Beyond for the BF Partner Portal
Next on the roadmap is a streamlined path for Partners to deliver PLD from prospective clients through the portal, and with a completed cost analysis output that is visualized on the portal. Look forward for more information on this next year!
New Descartes Products Integrated with REMS
One of the benefits of the Decartes acquisition of Rock Solid is the access to an increased number of products that BF and Partners can now have access to. In the past year, BF has engaged in discussions with Descartes to inquire about a possible REMS integration with other Descartes products, and we have some great news - IT IS HAPPENING!!!
Gone are the days where Partners are pigeon-holed into either only selling Webship or releasing an account number, or just not having a WMS solution that is tied to REMS. In 2026, BF Partners will be able to bring customers to the following Descartes Products:
- Shiprush
- Sellercloud
- Peoplevox
Decartes is currently knee deep in scoping the Shiprush integration, as this is their premier product, and we’re looking to have this completed by Q2 of 2026, with Sellercloud and Peoplevox to follow in that order. Compensation for bringing clients to these products will be detailed closer to the launch date.
Cabrella and API Connection to REMS
Lastly, we’re also looking to expand our third party insurance coverage, both vertically and horizontally. In the vertical sense, I mean the maximum insurance limit itself. The volume on the new program and the program itself is very healthy and can only grow from there. Many Partners have engaged with both myself and the Cabrella team already for certain clients who ship products above $10,000.
Since the program is so new, the Cabrella team has let us know that the maximum insured amount is indeed not limitless, but instead based on the health of the total program itself. They’re comfortable extending a maximum limit of up to $15,000 at the moment for any client, but anything more than that would either have to be insured with the carrier directly, or be insured via a one-off type scenario. However, once we have a couple of months of insured shipments under our belts, the conversation can be a bit different. There will be trust built into the program, which would allow the maximum insured limit to be much higher than $15,000.
In the horizontal sense, we’re actively looking in Q1 to deliver an API connection from Cabrella to REMS. Why is this important? It will actually allow Partners to be able to offer 3PI coverage on shipments outside of just Webship, and in turn would allow us to bill the client accurately through REMS as well. It will actually be entirely possible to only see the insurance cover itself, and the reason for doing so is because of the following reason - INTEGRATIONS:


Did you see Shipstation there? We have an integration with Shipstation, and all the other above listed shipping platforms and ecommerce stores that would allow us to pull insured shipments into Cabrella’s backend. Our goal with the REMS is to push these insured shipments from Cabrella into REMS, and be able to bill them out to a client.

There is a lot to be excited about in the coming year. I assure you this is not even half of what we have in store for you. I truly believe 2026 is going to be a landmark year for Partners and BF.
