It's been a while since I spoke in words through an article to you. I really should put in more content in Sipping and Shipping, but I tend to be long-winded, so if you have to read a long-winded article, let's just do it here in the newsletter that you see 4 times a year. I won't vent too long today.
I recently came back from California and got to spend time with many of you, and I could not be more energized about our futures. I'll also be in Bal Harbour, FL, from Nov 15-17th and look to meet with some of our BF Partners in the Sunshine State. Should be fun.
This month, we celebrate a great deal of things in the Jewish faith. I am calling this the Month of Mark. The climax is his wedding on October 26th, but his birthday was yesterday, Oct 2, which also happens to be the holiest day on the Jewish calendar, Yom Kippur (you can't make this up). I'm looking forward to seeing many of you, and preceding the Wedding is a gala event at Salt Steakhouse with the Guest of Honor, Mark. Mark is a smart young man who met his soulmate, Emily. They are going to make a great couple. It is hard to see another one of your kids leave the nest, but life does go on. At least they will live really close, and Mark loves his mother's cooking, and Michelle will feed him even better now, just to ensure he is always over.
Preparing for the future is my greatest drive. Getting the teams in order, the processes, and I love what I do more now than ever before. Listening to you, to key staff, incorporating ideas into workflows, and workflows begot more workflows, and before you know it, you're a robot. Be careful.
Our business doesn't work with robots. They work with handshakes, and nothing showed me that more than a meeting out of the blue in a gym in San Clemente, 2 weeks ago, with a fascinating entrepreneur by the name of John. John meets people everywhere he goes.
Saying hello and talking is definitely not a lost art (for him and many like him who live next door to us), but if you're stuck behind a computer all the time, then it is, and that is too bad for you. I am bringing this man on as a "dealer". He will run his sales through Mark, and in turn, they both make a commission. I wonder how many Partners have people like John, successful people in the business world, who are connected and open up lots of doors. I personally want to have 10 Johns. I think you should, too. I'm happy to fill you in on more with the dealer concept. Give me a buzz anytime.
Business is moving at a rapid pace, and growth is paramount to survival, but relationships endure past a few dollars. Guys like John don't get boxed out over a few dollars, and he meets more people in a week than many of you meet in a year. He is a multiplier, and we need them in our lives. They are another pipeline for you to work through. Loyalty is lost in the computer keyboard world and cell phones or Zoom, it is cold, it isn't personable, but it is also the most convenient. Guys like John get connected via their connections. They will bring you leads, and these guys love getting paid in a few streams of business income.
How many of you travel to your customers? Even if they are far away? How many of you conduct a Customer Business Review (CBR) with your client 2 times a year? How about the Cost Savings Report (CSR). The master at CBR is our very own Chris Franzen, host of Masterclass. Spend some time learning how to retain and capture referrals from the CBR, and learn how to keep loyalty through the CSR report we offer you free of charge. Hit either one of us up, anytime. Or do you know too much already? I'm sure you can learn a thing or 2. No one is that perfect.
As the home stretch of Q4 is now upon us, I see that many of you will be cashing in some Rebate checks courtesy of the rebate program we launched exactly a year ago. Every Partner is automatically enrolled, and those checks are cut on the last day of January 2026 and the same date in 2027.
I have energy for days these days, and I have tapped into very deep learning of health and well-being. I have some people to thank for that, and one of them will be a BF Partner in the near future. I can't talk about it for hours, and if you saw me recently, you noticed it too. I say this to you because many of you are in your 40s and 50s, some younger, and some older. Life is hard, and we need to be optimized to function at a high level as we get older. I am here for you if you have questions, and I also need you, I need you to be your best self, for you, for me, and for your families.
Thank you, and I look forward to seeing many of you real soon.
